HUE & ME · YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy Policy

A little clarity about the information behind your coloring moments.

Last updated October 8, 2026

The essentials

Hue & Me uses account and room information to let you color together, keep artwork, and recover purchases. Free coloring can use a guest account without an email address. A guest account still has an identifier and saved information.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not add advertising trackers or behavioral analytics to the coloring experience.

Who we are

This policy covers the Hue & Me website, its iPhone/iPad app, and its testing versions.

For privacy questions or requests, email idl3294@gmail.com.

Information we use

Accounts and sign-in

When a feature needs an account, we create or use an account identifier and an authentication session. If you choose email sign-in, purchase recovery, or Cloud Artbook, we also use your email address and verification information. These details let us confirm access and connect your artwork and purchases to the right account.

When you restore a purchase and choose to keep guest artwork, we can link your guest account’s rooms and artwork to the verified purchase account. This preserves access to your existing work.

Rooms and artwork

We store room codes, page selections, nicknames, participant identifiers, colors, coloring actions, and creation or completion times. Finished artwork includes the page edition, its colors, and participant details. We use this information for real-time coloring, undo, saved artwork, and Artbook access.

Your coloring partner can see your nickname and shared work. Room codes and invitation links give access to a room when a place is available, so share them only with the person you want to join.

Purchases and gifts

We use purchase and transaction identifiers, pack ownership, account identifiers, purchase status, and, for website purchases, payment amount and currency. Apple purchase verification can associate your Hue & Me account identifier with a transaction. Payment providers handle payment details; we do not store full card numbers in the Hue & Me database.

If you use website gifting, we store the gift note, purchaser and recipient account identifiers, gift link, claim status, and related purchase information. Anyone you give an unclaimed gift link to may be able to view its note or claim it.

Feedback and support

If you send feedback, we store your rating, message, the account identifier used for submission, time, and where in the app the feedback came from. A reply email is optional and is used to respond. Emailing support also gives us the information you put in that message. Please leave out passwords, verification codes, payment-card details, and other sensitive information.

Technical information

Our hosting, authentication, and payment services may process IP addresses, browser or device information, request times, and error or security logs to deliver and protect the service. TestFlight may provide Apple and the developer with testing diagnostics and feedback under Apple’s terms and privacy information.

The coloring features do not request access to your contacts, microphone, or precise location. Saving an image uses the save or Photos permission available on your device; it does not upload your photo library to Hue & Me.

Sharing and service providers

Shared room participants can access the work they make together. People you send exported images to control their own copies. We do not publish your Artbook as a public gallery.

Supabase

Stores accounts, rooms, artwork, feedback, and purchase-access records; handles authentication, verification email delivery, and live room updates.

Email delivery and support also involve email providers, including the service delivering your sign-in code and Google/Gmail when you contact the address above. Providers may use their own subprocessors. Service providers acting for us are expected to protect information under their service and data-processing agreements. Apple and payment providers also process some information for their own legal, security, and account purposes.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, address fraud or security problems, protect people’s rights, or respond to a valid legal request. We do not provide room contents or email addresses to advertisers.

Device storage

We use device storage to keep your sign-in available. You can choose whether to remember your nickname. The iPhone/iPad app also keeps information about artwork you hide on that device. See Cookies & storage for details and the nickname control.

The app and Safari have separate storage. Clearing browser data or deleting the app can remove a guest account’s access on that device. It does not erase the account’s server records. Use Account & data before clearing storage if you want to delete the online account. Contact us if you need help locating an old account.

Keeping your information

Room and artwork records are kept to support your ongoing rooms and Artbook. Account and purchase records are kept to maintain access, restore purchases, resolve problems, and meet applicable legal or accounting requirements. Feedback and support information is kept for responding to and understanding the issue.

Account & data lets you review and delete the current guest or email account. This removes its live authentication account, sessions, feedback, purchase-access records, and identifying room/artwork references. We remove your nickname and account ID from shared artwork, while preserving the picture’s colors and access for the other participants. Unshared work with no remaining participant is deleted. Old guest accounts connected during restore remain separate accounts; their connection to the deleted account ends.

Removing or hiding an artwork in Artbook is not the same as deleting its underlying account or every online copy. Shared artwork remains accessible to the other participant. Deleting your account does not remove their picture or room. Images someone has already exported are outside our control.

Necessary gift records can remain so another person can receive or keep a gift; the departing account’s reference and gift note are removed. An unguessable deletion-completion receipt, containing no account ID or email, is briefly retained to recover from a lost network response. It stops being usable after 24 hours and is cleared during subsequent deletion housekeeping.

Backups, hosting/security logs, support email, and payment providers’ transaction records have separate retention and deletion processes and may not be erased immediately by the app control. Contact us about those records. We do not use retained backup data as an active account, and any necessary retention must have a valid purpose or legal basis.

Your choices and requests

You can choose a nickname rather than a full name, leave the feedback email blank, turn off remembered nicknames, and manage device permissions in your phone’s settings. Verification and purchase emails do not subscribe you to a newsletter.

To delete the account currently open in your app or browser, use Account & data. The iPhone app also links to it from App options. You review the effect and confirm before deletion; simply opening the page deletes nothing.

For access, correction, or help with personal information not covered by that control, email idl3294@gmail.com. Explain the request and include the email or account reference you used, if available. Never send your sign-in token, password, or verification code. We may need to verify that you control the account before acting.

Your rights depend on where you live and applicable law. They may include access, a copy of your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, objection, withdrawal of consent where processing depends on it, and a complaint to a relevant privacy authority. We will explain what applies to your request and respond within applicable time limits.

Where applicable, we use information to provide the service you request, meet legal obligations, and protect and maintain the service. We rely on consent where the law requires it. Reading this policy or continuing to browse is not a blanket consent to additional uses of your information.

Because we do not use cross-site advertising tracking, there is no advertising profile to switch off. Our service does not otherwise change in response to a browser’s “Do Not Track” setting.

Need help with a guest account?

If you did not add an email to your account, your account reference can help us locate it. Open this page on the device you used for coloring.

Children and families

We want to make Hue & Me welcoming for families. The current test version does not yet have a verified parental-permission process or dedicated child accounts. Online use by children under 13 needs additional safeguards before it is ready; parents and guardians should wait to let an under-13 child use account, shared-room, feedback, or purchasing features.

A nickname-only guest account still creates stored account and room information. A parent allowing an app download or a purchase does not, by itself, complete a privacy-consent process.

If you believe a child under 13 has already submitted information or used an online account, contact idl3294@gmail.com. We will work with the parent or guardian to verify the request, locate the information, and address access or deletion. Do not email a child’s identity documents or other sensitive information unless we agree on a necessary, secure process.

Security and location

We use encrypted connections and account-based access controls to help protect information. No system is completely secure. Protect your device, email account, and room or gift links.

Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they and their subprocessors operate. Protections and legal rules may differ from those where you live. Where required, international transfers must use appropriate contractual or other legal safeguards.

Policy updates

We will update this page and its date when our practices change. For material changes, we will provide an appropriate notice in the service or by email where available, and request additional permission where required before a new use begins.
